May 18th, 2004: the third meeting of the Scoliosis Association of Western New York.  Guest speakers for this meeting were Larissa Mychaskiw and Tim Naffky of Fitness Village Pilates Studio.  The focus of their presentation was how pilates can be used to help those living with scoliosis.

The Miss New York Gala and Workshop was a wonderful event held in May in Watertown, New York!   Pictured right is Nicole with her father.

Nicole was honored to have been asked to be one of the co-hosts for the 7:00 hour for the annual "Kids Escaping Drugs Telethon," which took place on Sunday, April 25th, 2004.  This event generated much funding for this amazing facility, and Nicole was glad that she was able to have been a part of it.

Nicole attended the National Scoliosis Association Conference in Tampa Bay, Florida in April.  This was a wonderful experience for Nicole, and she was honored to have been a part of it.  Enjoy the photos below!

The second meeting of the Scoliosis Assoication of Western New York was held on March 22nd, 2004 with great success!  It was a packed house with Dr. Christopher Hamill being the meeting's keynote speaker.  Congratulations Nicole on a very successful second meeting of the Scoliosis Association of Western New York.

Nicole spent the day of March 7th, 2004 volunteering at the Variety Club Telethon in conjunction with the West Seneca Police Benevolent Association.

Nicole took part on February 29th in the "Read Across America" Program, a national program undertaken by Target Stores all across the nation that encourages reading in our youth.  Nicole appeared at the Orchard Park Target Store and was one of their guest readers and also helped with the afternoon's activities.

Nicole spent the afternoon of February 28th with the Depew-Lancaster Fraternal Order of Eagles at their dedication ceremony.  Later that evening, she was a guest at their Awards Dinner, where she was able to speak and thank the Eagles for their incredible support of the Miss Greater Niagara Scholarship Program.

The fifth-grade production at Eggert Elementary School is almost here.  Nicole spent time with some of the young ladies appearing in the production.

Nicole appeared live on WKBW Channel Seven's "WNY Live!" (Western New York Live) television show on February 23rd, 2004 to receive the station's honor of "Everyday Hero" as well as promote the Scoliosis Association of Western New York.

Nicole spent the day of February 13th, 2004 at Veteran's Hospital in Buffalo, New York to celebrate National Salute to Hospitalized Veterans Day.  She toured the facility, and most importantly, shared time with the veterans who are patients at the hospital.

The Miss Niagara Gala was held in Niagara Falls, New York on Friday, February 6th, and it was a wonderful evening.

Nicole is pictured with Mr. Robert L. Smith, a member of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Board of Directors and Chairman of Great Strides. Nicole is presenting him a donation check to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. The money was raised through a dress-down day event at Eggert Elementary School in Orchard Park, New York of which Nicole acted as a Scholastic Team Leader.

Nicole appeared in January on Crossroads, a televion show broadcast live on Adelphia Cable Channel 13. Nicole is pictured below with the show's host, Mr. Pete Anderson. While being interviewed, Nicole was able to share her own personal story of being diagnosed with scoliosis, the news of her support group, and how she has been spending her year thus far as Miss Greater Niagara.

Nicole is volunteering her time, as she has done in previous years, to teach dance and choreography to the students of Eggert Elementary School in Orchard Park for their yearly musical production. This year the students are putting on "Treasure Island."

The first meeting of the Scoliosis Association of Western New York was held on the evening of January 28th, 2004. Creating this support group has been a dream of Nicole's for years now, and as its founder, she hopes to support people of all ages who are suffering from scoliosis.

Nicole appeared on January 6th at Sacred Heart Church in Niagara Falls, New York to donate all of the canned goods and other food items collected by all of the young women who competed in November of 2003 for the Miss Greater Niagara title.  In all, four large boxes of food were collected by our contestants.  Congratulations to all of the contestants for making such a huge difference in the Western New York community!  Nicole is pictured with Mr. Gerard Ashby, president of the Sacred Heart Conference.

On December 6th, 2003, Nicole took part in the annual Niagara Falls Firefighters' Toy Fund Telethon that raises money and toys to help people in the Niagara Falls area during the holiday season.

Nicole appeared on the Channel 2 News Morning show segment, the "Spot 2 Be" on November 28th, 2003.  Nicole is shown here with Pat Breen, the Morning Show Weatherman.
